"It is my hope that in working together we develop a relationship where you feel strong enough to face life’s challenges, and supported as you move towards your values and goals. I believe that building a connection where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported is one of the most important aspects of starting therapy. I feel that building this connection creates a space that allows the work of therapy to be accomplished – an exploration inwards to establish and work towards the goals of our mental health journey.  I also feel it’s important to acknowledge the skills that have allowed each of us to make it this far. It takes strength and courage to make it to a point where you feel you can reach out, and I want to commend the work that you have already done to get to this point."
